Empire vinegar cruet holder in finely chiseled solid silver, in the style of the Antique. The grip represents two intertwined serpents on a head of Janus. The two bottle holders rest on three sphinxes, the stopper holders in the mouth of a lion. The rectangular base with a recess is decorated with palmettes, feet in the shape of winged lions.
