Venetian Oval Mirror – 1940

This glass is lined in the center with an oval beveled mirror, surrounded by a first chamfered band in relief held by four daisy-shaped cabochons. We then find around the perimeter a second band engraved with foliage and flower motifs and also shaped with a chamfer on the outside. Its important pediment is cut and openwork. It presents a composition of mirror plates, worked in the same spirit, assembled by glass cabochons. At the bottom, the cul-de-lamp, of identical manufacture, is more discreet since it comprises only three cut-out elements with a reminder decoration. This Venetian Mirror will bring the reflection of Italy and the know-how of its master glassmakers into your home.
