"Louis XV Period Cartel"
Cartel from the Louis XV period in Varnish Martin decorated with flowers and foliage. The white enamel dial shows Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes. Both the dial and the back plate of the movement are signed "TIFENNE à PARIS". Frame stamped "GOYER". François Goyer, cabinetmaker received master on July 19, 1740. He practiced rue du faubourg-saint-antoine at "L'OSTRUCHE" before settling rue de Charonne at "L'EAU QUI DORT". Period 18th century around 1750/1760.
