Hélène Gasset-Ousset entered the Société des artistes Méridionaux in 1914, of which she became a member in 1922. She exhibited there regularly between 1925 and 1935. This Toulouse decorator made a specialty of embroidery and trimmings. Her rugs, tapestries, screens, cushions, gloves, handbags, lacquered panels, which are adorned with delicate plant and animal motifs, enjoyed real success in the 1930s. She collaborated with sculptors and cabinetmakers from Toulouse. From 1932, she moved to Paris. His productions are sold abroad, in America, Switzerland, England or Greece. Back in Toulouse, she produced more drawings, especially animal ones, which made her famous today.
