"Louis XVI Sconces. After Jl Prieur"
Series of 4 model sconces, Louis XVI style, in chiseled and gilded bronze, with 2 sconces. Greek model after JL Prieur (1732 - 1795) The quiver shaft is decorated with rudented asparagus grooves in the lower part, while at mid-height comes a garland of laurel leaves on the front and on the sides in fall treated with the Greek. The upper part of the barrel is crowned with a wide interlaced ring of piastres. The amortization is topped at the top with an urn simulating a flaming fire pot adorned on the front with a drapery surmounted by large and high sheets of water. The curved and counter-curved light arms are finely chiselled with acanthus leaves and support basins simulating cups decorated with large acanthus leaves, on which rest the fluted lighting binets, decorated in the lower part of small leaves of water. Excellent quality of carving and gilding.
