Donatello's David is a bronze sculpture made between 1430 and 1432, considered the first great bronze cast since antiquity. Initially in the Medici Palace in 1453, then transferred in 1495 to the cortile of the Palazzo Vecchio, it is preserved and now exhibited at the Bargello Palace in Florence.
