Automaton Whistling Bird Cage By Maison Bontems

Very beautiful whistling bird automaton from Bontems around 1900. This cage is in varnished brass on the upper part and the base in gilded wood, decorated with interlacing and garlands of flowers. The bird is covered with real feathers, very realistic! This cage has undergone a complete overhaul, mechanism, sealing, various adjustments. It works wonderfully, a discontinuous song, a listening position. The timing is very good due to the good sealing of the bellows. The song of the bird is excellent...
