Empire style floor regulator clock in mahogany around 1880 abundance in the ornamentation of gilded and sculpted bronzes such as Egyptian-style caryatids, rosette-shaped patterns, putti playing on wrapped garlands, foliage, friezes, Medusa heads and imperial crowns. This longcase clock is made up of two parts: the upper part with a centered white enamel dial surrounded by gilded bronze. Two caryatids surmounted by crowns frame the sides. spheres in gilded wood are perched on the cornice on which is affixed an allegorical fresco.
