Mermaids near a rock in the middle of the waters. Pierre Marcel Berronneau (1869_1937) is a Symbolist painter trained by Gustave Moreau and considered one of his best students, along with Georges Rouault'. He exhibited regularly at the Salons de la Rose Croix. The painting is framed in a molded and blackened wooden stick from the 19th century and measures, in the absence of a frame, 25.5 x 35 cm. It is signed lower right P. Marcel Berronneau.
