''Village on the edge of the Seine'' oil on panel signed lower left 33 x 50 cm Jacques Adrien Sauzay participates, from 1863, in all the painting fairs in Paris where he obtains the following awards: 1880, mentioned in Paris fair; 1881, 3rd class medal at the Paris Salon; 1883, 2nd class medal at the Paris Salon (Hors concours). He also participated in the universal exhibitions of Paris, where he obtained in 1889, the bronze medal and in 1900, the bronze medal. The State acquires several paintings at the Salon of 1870, 1874 and 1890.
