Object description :

"Indo-persian Tabriz Rug, 175 Cm X 230 Cm, Finely Hand-knotted Wool Circa 1980, Perfect Condition"
Sumptuous floral tabriz rug predominantly red, blue and cream measuring 175 cm wide by 230 cm long and 247 cm with fringes.
## In perfect condition, the nuances are due to the light and the great difficulty of photographing this type of rug.
Indo-Persian rug using the criteria of Persian decorations, knotted with great finesse and superb wool quality.
Around 1980 in perfect condition, we can hardly imagine the immense work to tie such a marvel.
The quality of these Indo-Persian pieces is not to be demonstrated, the work is fine, precise and durable and the materials used are of first quality. This rug is clean, the wool is soft, beautifully knotted and finely tight as these rugs always are.
It reveals to us shades full of contrasts, intertwining branches and flowers admirably drawn from a multi-lobed floral medallion and surrounded by a border of flowers and palmettes.
Comfortable traditional wool rug for high traffic.
The shades underline this skilful floral design in the great tradition of Persian art that can also be found in Mughal art, inspired by the miniatures of the school of Tabriz, then capital of the Persian Empire.
## For information: Tabriz (Azeri: Təbriz/ تبریز, formerly Tauris), is the capital of the province of East Azerbaijan, in the northwest of Iran (Iranian Azerbaijan).
Tabriz lies on the course of the Talkheh River (also called Aji-Chāi), near Lake Urmia, close to the borders of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia. It is the door of Persia from north to west, Tabriz rugs have an extreme importance in the quality of Persian rugs and a wonderful international reputation.
The Tabriz are among the most popular carpets in the world, their work is always very fine and durable over time.
This rug has been professionally and environmentally cleaned.
