This bronze with brown patina, entitled “Bovine family”, invites us to discover three animals. The imposing bull with its proud appearance, its head held high and looking towards the sky, gives this scene a feeling of tranquility and appeasement through its protective figure. Note the precision and finesse of the details of his musculature, the folds of his neck, his legs. In front of him, lying on a bronze terrace forming a meadow, the cow and her very young calf, peaceful, tenderly huddled together. The whole rests on a smooth grooved plinth. A French sculptor known for his animal bronzes, Jules Moigniez was a pupil of Paul Comoléra. This touching animal representation will seduce you with the simplicity of this imagination, simply like life.
