Jacques Coquillay Claudine combing her hair, 1987 Bronze signed and numbered Height: 35cm Jacques COQUILLAY Official painter of the Navy Pastellist and Sculptor Jacques Coquillay was born on June 3, 1935. He entered the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Tours in the sculpture section. In 1958, he obtained the National Diploma of Sculpture. He is a student at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris in the studio of Marcel Gimond. In 1960, he obtained the Higher Diploma of Plastic Art 30-09-2009 (with honors). On the death of Gimond, he entered the studio of Hubert Yencesse and Raymond Corbin. In 1961, he was accepted at the Concours de Rome - Logiste.
