"Ignác or Ignaz Fischer 1840-1906 (for J. Fischer) trained in his father's ceramics factory in Tata-Tóváros, Hungary, then founded his own workshop in Pest in 1864. At first he only dealt to realize the decoration of porcelains manufactured in other factories but very quickly, from 1867, he produced his own ceramics. Similar to Zsolnay, Fischer also specializes in the production of ceramics with ornamental decoration. He knows success in his country and in the world thanks in particular to his majolica crockery. But Fischer is distinguished by the realization of pieces decorated with Chinese motifs which he presents at the Hungarian Exhibition of 1885. He wins several important awards. His son Emil takes over the manufactory, but soon it becomes the property of the Zsolnay factory in Pécs, in the south-west of Hungary » The vase is painted by hand, some of the flower motifs colored stylized are surrounded by a gold thread.
