Emblem of the Roman legions in painted and gilded steel from the end of the 19th century. The attributes of war are clearly represented by the Roman eagle, the vexillum, the shield decorated with wings and lightning (God Mars, God of combat), spears and a centurion's helmet. The whole of this piece is made of forged or repoussé steel. The various attributes are fixed by rivets or threaded screws. Beautiful dimensions for this decoration which can come from a portal, a sign or a military school. 195cm x 55cm
