1868-1940, portrait and genre painter. Jules Cayron studied with Jules Lefebvre and the Belgian painter Alfred Stevens. He began at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1888, with pastels of portraits, genre scenes, inspired by Paul Helleu. He became the official portrait painter of the international aristocracy, notably the Princess of Arenberg, the Princess of Bourbon Sixte, Boni de Castellane, etc.
