large and majestic bronze sculpture signed on the Delabrierre base (1829 - 1912) representing the return of a lion from hunting for its offspring with a plaque mentioning "lion 1st game". Note a beautiful patina with a double shade of brown and green. Influenced by Antoine Louis Barye, Paul - Edouard Delabrierre will remain an artist recognized for his animal bronzes.
