Village Life : F. Brandt

Village life by the sea Watercolor and gouache on paper. Signed and dated lower left Fritz Brandt was a German landscape painter. Fritz Brandt studied painting at the Berlin Academy of Arts under Hans Fredrik Gude (1825-1903). Since 1883 he has participated in art exhibitions. From 1889 he worked in Rome. Brandt was a full member of the German Artists Association. He mainly painted Italian landscapes and vedute.
