Beautiful Cupola In Golden Wood With Gold Leaf - Neoclassical
Beautiful dome in wood gilded with gold leaf. The lower semi-circle is adorned with stars alternating with flowers, beaded edge. The dome is sculpted like a fish scale divided by ribs. The interior of the dome is lacquered in blue and the semi-circular base is gilded with gold leaf. It is in a good state of conservation: the outer edge is stuccoed, it has some slight lack of gilding (see detailed photos). Period: Neoclassical (late 18th century).
