The dates of birth and death of this artist are unknown. He was an illustrator (of books and postcards), also a poster designer and painter. He was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bordeaux. Very few paintings by his hand are known, notably the Moroccan spinner (in our collection), a self-portrait and a painting he produced of the party organized in 1907 on the occasion of the reopening (after restoration) of the Château de Mauvezin (Occitanie) and which is kept in this castle.
