Vasarely's paintings and sculptures use geometric shapes and colorful graphics to create illusions of spatial depth on two-dimensional surfaces. The artist focuses on the expression of the movement called Kinetic Art. Wassily Kandinsky's Bauhaus and the constructivism he studied from 1929 had a considerable influence on his work.
