Louis-Marie Latour (1864-1928), born in Algiers, was a pupil of Alexandre Falguière and Paul Dubois. He was a founding member of the Society of Fine Arts of Algiers in 1881. He regularly participated in the Salon of French artists where he obtained an honorable mention in 1905.
