Beautiful chest of drawers in marquetry of kingwood veneered in butterfly wing in fretted frames veneered with amaranth. It opens with 2 drawers without visible crosspiece. Very beautiful trim of finely chiseled bronzes gilded with fine gold. Languedoc marble veined pink red with beak of corbin. Made in Paris, entirely on oak. Louis XV period, circa 1750. Our chest of drawers is a very beautiful workmanship, the work of a great cabinetmaker in the style of André Antoine Lardin, Pierre Roussel or François Garnier or another great Parisian master. The absence of a stamp makes it difficult to attribute with certainty, nevertheless it is certain that our chest of drawers by the quality of its proportions, lines, finesse of the bronzes and depth of the gilding is the work of a good Parisian master cabinetmaker from the Louis XV period. The chest of drawers is in excellent condition, varnish redone by our cabinetmaker, the plating is superb. Some stains on the original marble which is almost 270 years old. length 97cm height 85.5cm depth 49cm
