Rare box inlaid on all its visible sides with throws of flowers in cartridges of branches on polylobed backgrounds, in native and exotic woods such as maple, boxwood, barberry, natural or tinted, satin as well as ebony and violet; all on a walnut frame. On either side of our box, drop handles make it easy to transport. These in polished metal like the keyhole complete the decor. The top rises, articulated by two small hinges with concave and convex segments, assisted by a hook nestled in the roughness provided for this purpose on its right profile; under the lid and the edge of the tank. The box is condemned by a hasp lock in perfect working order. It should be noted that the key being missing, this one has been reported. The stamp of Jean François Hache, "Hache Fils à Grenoble" is stamped on the edge of the facade on either side of the lock. Dimensions: width 19.4cm - depth 19.4cm - height 16.5cm. Jean-François Hache, dit l'ainé (January 10, 1730 - August 19, 1796) eldest son of Pierre Hache, is the most famous of the dynasty. In 1756, he spent four months in Paris with Jean-François Oeben, cabinetmaker to Louis XV, where he studied the production of the master. Back in Grenoble, he gradually took over from his father and imposed from 1760 the more slender forms of the more Louis XV style. Jean-François Hache simplifies the mannerism of his father and imposes large cartridges soberly contoured like our box. Jean-François, from 1760, took over his father's stamp "Hache à Grenoble" by adding Fils "Hache Fils à Grenoble" by means of two irons, juxtaposed.
