A silver pendant frame containing a polychromed wooden relief of Saint Joseph with the Christ Child.

Mexican, 18th century.

Measures 7.8 x 4.8cm.

The extraordinarily fine relief with its original polychrome probably predates its silver housing, the relief dating to around c.1700 and the frame to the early 19th century.
