The Patrick Burtin Gallery—pictorial audacity from the 1950s to the 1980s—showcases artists chosen for the power of their pictorial language, their place in history, and the uniqueness of their approach.
It focuses particularly on painters from the Second School of Paris, a major post-war movement, from gestural lyricism to geometric rigor, in dialogue with other centers of abstraction, from New York to Germany.
