Booksellers on the quays of the Seine in Paris. Oil on canvas signed lower right and countersigned on the back. Considered “the last of the Impressionists”, he was greatly appreciated by the public for his lively scenes of Parisian life, and won a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition in 1937 and at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1925. His paintings are now kept in several French museums as well as in Canada and the United States Dimensions without frame 44.5 cm x 36.5 cm Very good condition.
