"Andalusian-type Brazier In Bronze, Late Mughal Period, Northern India, 19th Century"
Mughal brazier in cast bronze, assembled, pierced, hexagonal in shape, said to be Andalusian type.
Decorated on all sides and placed on six inverted legs.
The side panels decorated with cartridges with openwork patterns. In the lower part and in the upper part run openwork friezes.
The set is carried by two very elaborate handles, each held by two chains.
North India early to mid-19th century, late Mughal era.
These objects were used to burn incense of all types in and at the entrance of stately homes.
