Rare view of the 7th arrondissement of Paris from the Right Bank in front of the Champ de Mars which is occupied by a horse race and view of the Gros-Caillou district;Champ de Mars was the parisian horse race track until the creation of the Hippodrome of Longchamp in the 1850'.
In the foreground, this view is animated by characters scattered on the hill of Passy who observe the spectacle of the Left Bank; there is a little traffic on the Seine bank and on the pont d'Iéna which are equipped with their lantern lighting;
