"Small Painted Wardrobe, Regency Period"
Small painted cabinet from the Regency period. Beginning of the 18th century. The front uprights are molded and carved with acanthus leaves, flowers, ovals and volutes. They end with so-called “snail” winding feet. The doors are paneled with double moldings. The false sleeper is molded and carved with flowers, foliage and volutes as well as an oval. The front rails, high and low, are molded and sculpted with volutes, foliage scrolls, a flower and a valance. The sides are flat. Straight cornice with triple moldings. In oak relaquered in gray, light blue rechampi for the patterns. Interior painted in light blue composed of four shelves. Dimensions: L 129.5 x P 43.5 x H 205.5 Cornice: L 147 x P 49.5
