"Art Deco Box, Wolfers, Malachite Marquetry, Silver And Vermeil, Around 1940-50"
Splendid Art Deco box in solid silver partially gilded and inlaid with semi precious stone (malachite). It is a sumptuous example of the luxury production of the Wolfers company just after the second world war. At that time a collection of objects of virtue, bringing together all that the Congo had of noble materials, was born. Often silver, gold, ivory, malachite are united in a single object. I added another object from the same range in the series of photos as an example.
