Superb 18th century solid silver sprinkler from the Louis XVI period of Augsburg manufacture, baluster shape decorated with garlands of laurels, flowers, acanthus leaves, snakeskin and gadroons at its base. The scalloped shower foot itself decorated with acanthus leaves, flowers and snakeskin. The closure of the cap is bayonet with the same type of patterns. Note a rest in places of vermeil in the hollows of the decoration as well as the foot. The hallmark of the city of Augsburg indicates a manufacture between 1781 and 1783. The silversmith remains to be identified. A zigzag mark for silver metal quality testing. The object is very beautifully crafted as well as in a perfect state of conservation.
