It is about a bronze of the Grand Tour of the 2nd half of the XIXth century. Its size is important: 55 cm. It is signed "M. Amodio Napoli" It is about Michele Amodio, active between 1850 and 1890 as an artistic photographer with his brother Enrico. After the death of Enrico he opened an artistic foundry in 1870 and started out as a sculptor. He died in 1890. Our fisherman dates from those years. The original antique was on the edge of an antique fountain in the casa della fontana Piccola "in Pompeii. It was discovered in 1823 Our model is distinguished by a beautiful excavation patina on the whole fairly homogeneous and a very fine carving , even at the level of the base with its shells.Height: 55 cm, Width: 32 cm, Depth: 35cm
