Object description :

"Early Regence Period Wall Console In Carved Oak 18th"
Beautiful wall console from the early Regence period in carved oak, France, 18th century, Circa 1720, the molded apron adorned with a central openwork pattern of foliage and clip, resting on a double base in carved and openwork console staples on the back, joined by a shell-shaped spacer. Original Sarrancolin marble top. Usual restorations. Very beautiful model of Regence console where the influence of the Louis XIV period is still present in the sculpted patterns and the very classic shape of the whole. The Sarrancolin marble top - of a very beautiful color and veining, brings a plus to the rarity of the whole in its final touch. The Sarrancolin was considered by the most beautiful marbles intended for quality productions.
