"Nineteenth Century Silver Coffee Maker, Regency Style"
Baluster coffee maker in cast silver, chiseled, resting on a cane. It is decorated with pinched ribs and flat sides, valances and foliage on a mat background. The spout is worked on a mat background of large fillets and stylized shells. The cover is domed, divided into several cartridges decorated with lambrequins and foliage and surmounted by the leafy seed socket. The handle with a lug is made of brown wood carved with an acanthus leaf (discoloration). Hallmarks Silver 900/1000, French “weevil” hallmarks Probably Belgian work from the 19th century from the Wolfers house, Regency Style. Master silversmith hallmarks with initials: WZ, wolf or dog's head. Length: 20.5 cm Width: 12.5 cm Height: 26.5 cm Weight: 922 gr Very good condition / without shocks or scratches
