Persian rug Sarough or sarouck, around 1970 in perfect condition, hand knotted in very soft kork wool decorated with a magnificent combination of colors for around 350,000 knots per M2, presenting a large field decorated with a flowered trellis of roses decorated with a central medallion and four spandrels ,.
The whole surrounded by a wide border, followed in parallel by two widely decorated counter-borders, all in perfect condition.
The proposed model is a real flower garden, centered with a large medallion placed on a deep cream field and a thickness of 1.5 cm, which makes it a very comfortable carpet.
The Sarouk carpet, also known as Hamadan, the Ecbatana of Antiquity, is the place where some villages are knotted and some European buying houses have agencies there.
Many of these carpets are nicknamed hamadan by traders, in particular the passing carpets, many of which are made in this region.
