The general shape represents a hind leg of a horse. Its closed or open position is ensured by an invisible safety catch. In a working principle of a compass, the knife is deployed by making the right leg make a full turn on its axis.
The blade is sharp, white polished.
The bodies of the handle are made of steel, on which are applied the brass bolsters and hooves, as well as the horn plates held by 6 brass rivets. Three cracks on the pads without gravity.
