Profile Of Vespasian, Large Cameo Early Nineteenth flag

Object description :

"Profile Of Vespasian, Large Cameo Early Nineteenth"
Superb two-layer agate cameo dating from the beginning of the 19th century and probably representing the profile of the Emperor Vespasian.
it is a large gold tie pin adorned with a beautiful agate cameo.
the frame is of very good quality with a very fine work of finely worked fishnet and crimping the cameo.
this type of setting is superb and recalls certain settings from the beginning of the 19th century. the cameo may be older.
it is large and the two-layer agate has very beautiful shades of color, the profile turned to the left is sculpted in a layer of deep beige agate and the bottom layer is lighter beige with nuances green and whiter veins.
the profile is very fine with a shape that the photos cannot render.
the hair, the forehead wrinkles, the velvety texture of the lips, everything is of great finesse up to the Adam's apple.
it could be a profile of the Vespasian emperor. a small, very slight accident on the bottom of the neck at the bottom left, take a good look at the photos.
a very nice cameo, a superb work of glyptic much more beautiful in reality than on the photos.
