JEAN DESNOS French decorator born in 1910 After leaving the Boulle school in 1927 he worked in collaboration with Etienne KOHLMANN for the Studium of the Louvre stores. He later became artistic director of the Lyonnais establishments RAMBAUDI DANTOINE from 1937 to 1950

Rare living room set in solid cherry wood and cherry veneer composed of a pair of armchairs and a matching table.

The pair of solid cherrywood armchairs, rear saber legs, front legs with cloggings with golden bronze hoof endings, the backrests with golden brass spacers and cherrywood pads, curved armrests with notches and tablet moldings.

The table in solid cherry and cherry veneer with 2 trays with 2 spacers in golden brass and cherry pellets, decorative strips in golden brass belt as a reminder on the 4 sides, 2 side shelves sliding glass belt, 4 feet sheaths hoof endings in gilded bronze.

The set in excellent condition. Restored varnish and replaced fabrics.
