"Late 16th C. Augsbourg Inlaid Cabinet"
This small travel cabinet opens with a flap revealing seven drawers and a door revealing an interior compartment. It is richly decorated on the top with ivory and rosewood filleting. Inside the drawers with various geometrical forms and decor in rosewood veneer and padouk are punctuated by four alabaster columns. The small door is equipped with a miniature sized steel engraved lock decorated with foliage and windings. The inside of the flap is preciously adorned with exotic and indigenous wood veneer whose geometric shapes are veneered with palm wood. The spandrels, the external lock entry are also engraved steel. Handles on the sides serve to facilitate transportation.
