"Rosewood Writing Desk Set By Grandchez, Early 19th Century"
Necessary in rosewood. Rectangular, it opens with two shutters and a small drawer in front. The shutters are decorated with two small porcelain plates. It has four bronze compartments such as inkwell, sand box, feather stand and a reserve.
Work of the Restoration period. He wears a label from the famous shop "Au Petit Dunkerque", curiosities shop held by Mr. Grandchez, jeweler Marie-Antoinette. The address indicated on this label is Rue Richelieu 91, the address of the store after its move in 1789.
Condition Report: Restored in our workshop in December 2015, A hinge has been replaced, the handle is slightly bent, one of the bottles is slightly damaged.
