Sculpture Terracotta Charles Perron Young Fauns Satyrs Goat Nineteenth

Terracotta sculpture representing two young fauns or satyrs caressing and feeding a goat with grapes, signed Charles Perron *, on a gilded wooden base, vintage late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. This sculpture is in good condition. It is signed on the edge. A note: slight small accidents and tiny splinters (see red arrows, on the edge of the sculpture and the neck of a satyr), wear and scratches of time, slight wear of the gilding on the base, see photos. * Charles Théodore Perron (1862-1934): his most famous work, "L'Epave", a marble statue inspired by a poem by François Coppée, is exhibited at the Salon of 1897. He is also responsible for "L'Espièglerie" "(1899) and" Surprise "(1899), finally many decorative groups and some bronzes of edition. (See Bronzes of the XIXth century by P.
