The 2 volumes. The author was a member of the Royal Academy of Sciences, he was a doctor of medicine. Born in Rouen in 1645, he died in Paris in 1715. A renowned apothecary, he was also an eminent chemist. He is a Protestant and his life is interspersed with problems due to his faith. In 1686, he recanted Protestantism with his wife and children, fully convinced that stubbornness would lead him to ruin. One of the fathers of modern chemistry. 7 boards.
