Animated winter landscape, oil on panel 23.5x32.5. Signed by Alphonse Cassard and dated 1837. Painter born in Paris in 1787, appeared at the Paris Salon in 1835 and 1841. He was a first class draftsman at the war depot. A specialist in landscapes and religious paintings, he decorated the churches in Bergerac, Vouvray, Limoges. Source Benezit.
