Pair of blackened wood and velvet armchairs Date of creation: around 1920 H 84 × W 71 × D 65 cm Ettore Zaccari was one of the most singular representatives of the movement for the aggiornamento of the decorative arts in Italy in the first quarter of the 20th century. His style, very inspired by motifs from Lombard folklore and made up of a skilful combination of these with motifs taken from Byzantine, Romano-Germanic and Renaissance traditions, is very original.
