Vallin is an artist who distinguished himself in the neoclassical movement, notably with representations of nymphs and bacchantes. Pupil of Dean, his painting is also marked by the influence of the landscape painter Jean Joseph Xavier Bidaud. Her nude scenes imbued with sensuality and voluptuousness take place in settings of luminous undergrowth.
