Large Cloisonne Vase, Shippo-yaki, Japan, Meiji Era (1868-1912)
A monumental vase made using the cloisonné technique (Shippo-yaki), decorated with, among other things, chrysanthemums and cherry blossoms. The copper body of the vase is covered with a network of thin metal wires forming a pattern on the vase, then the artist pours liquid glass of different colors into the cells formed between the wires, after cooling, it is polished, and these actions are repeated many times until the surface of the entire container is smooth. Height 61 cm, diameter 22 cm. Shippo-yaki, Japan, Meiji era (1868-1912) Good condition, a bump on the spout of the vase. Free delivery in EU. ! I send parcels by insured courier (DPD or DHL).
