"Great Landscape. Circa 1885. "
Very frequented by Courbet and his friends who planted their easels there, "The black well" also called "the painters' salon" is represented here in the morning. Painted by a child from the region (Besançon) this large painting produced by Albert Cadix in the early 1880s is presented in its original frame in very good condition except for a small lack in the lower left corner (see photo). Also note a small tear practically invisible to the eye (see also photo). Signed À Cadix at the bottom center of the painting.
