Collection of two nightlights in chiselled patinated bronze. - one in the shape of an Athenian decorated with antique lion heads on claw-pawed hocks and decorated with water leaves on the top circle, all on a triangular base. - the other decorated with foliage serving as a support for the opaline and as a grip. Decor of a rosette on the round base and decoration of water leaves on the top circle. The two opaline cups were originally and at the time used to contain oil and a wick to imitate oil lamps in antiquity. These two quality and very decorative objects were placed on pedestal tables or bedside tables and can now be lit with small candles. Objects in perfect condition. Charles X period circa 1820.
