Gilded bronze Venus statuette, 17th century
Sat on a round base united to the bronze, this statuette depicts a nude Venus, with her hair styled in bun and two locks falling on her back. Arms crossed over abdomen, she stands in a slightly leaning to the front right posture.
The whole is screwed on a tronconic pedestal, of a more recent fabrication.
Excellent condition, rather well preserved gilding, a little bump at the pedestal base (see pictures).
